About the Client

Established in 1868 and operating across 60,000 acres of Sonoran Desert in Tucson, Arizona, Tanque Verde Ranch is one of America's oldest continuously operating guest ranches. Adjacent to Saguaro National Park and nestled at the base of the Rincon Mountains, the ranch offers an all-inclusive luxury dude ranch experience grounded in the heritage of the working West and elevated by the amenities of a world-class hospitality property. It is, in every sense, one of a kind — and its social media presence needed to reflect that.

The Situation

For a property with that level of pedigree, the digital gap was significant. Facebook page views were running well below the Travel/Hospitality/Leisure industry average. Instagram reach was declining quarter over quarter, follower growth was flat, and the account had no clear editorial direction — some content performed brilliantly; most didn't. The brand's extraordinary story wasn't translating into digital performance. At the same time, competitors like Hacienda del Sol Guest Ranch and White Stallion Ranch were becoming more active on social media, creating real urgency around establishing a stronger, more distinctive online presence before others filled the space.

Key moves included:

  • Establishing a brand voice framework rooted in the ranch's genuine character — honoring 150+ years of history without defaulting to clichés or generic resort language.

  • Creating distinct strategies for Facebook and Instagram, with each platform serving a defined role in the guest discovery and acquisition journey.

  • Identifying the highest-performing content categories through rigorous analysis and formalizing them as recurring editorial anchors across both channels.

  • Developing a wedding content approach that balanced authentic guest storytelling with reach-driving potential for new audiences.

  • Building a competitive benchmarking framework against Hacienda del Sol and White Stallion Ranch to actively track positioning across key metrics.

    • Collaborating with property teams to ensure every post authentically reflected the land, the people, and the experience of Tanque Verde Ranch.

The Results

NF Marketing stepped in with a strategy calibrated to the goals that matter most for a luxury guest ranch: brand awareness that reaches new audiences, engagement quality that reflects the property's standing, and link clicks that signal real booking intent. In 2026, every metric tells the same story.

On Facebook, views have nearly doubled (+91%). Link clicks have surged 136.6%. Content interactions are up 95.1%. New followers have grown 84.1%. Most significantly, Tanque Verde Ranch's Facebook engagement rate of 8.36% now sits 854% above the Travel/Hospitality/Leisure industry benchmark — placing the ranch among the most engaging hospitality brands in the country.

On Instagram, the transformation is equally dramatic. After a sustained period of declining reach and stagnant follower growth, every metric has reversed course. Reach is growing (+1.3%). New followers have grown more than 10,000% — from near-zero to 3,400 new follows in seven months. Profile visits are up 51.3%. Tanque Verde Ranch now leads both Hacienda del Sol and White Stallion Ranch in followers, post volume, and average engagement across both platforms.

The Bigger Picture

Tanque Verde Ranch earns its guests' loyalty for life — families who return summer after summer, guests who arrive as strangers and leave as part of the story. Its social media now works the same way: finding audiences who haven't yet discovered the ranch and giving them every reason to want to. For a 154-year-old property, these aren't just strong numbers. They represent an entirely new pipeline of guests encountering Tanque Verde for the first time.
